There are four major skills to improve when learning a language - listening, reading, speaking, and writing. With these skills, we can categorize them as input skills and output skills. For most language learners, the input skills can be checked independently like listening and reading; however, writing and speaking, output skills, are abilities that require another person's help. You can validate your improvement through asking another person, maybe a teacher or a learning partner, to correct you whenever you make mistakes. Although this is true, many cannot find the much needed human help they need. It can be because of various reasons. So what can they do? Luckily, the internet is our friend. Online learning, or distance learning, has opened a lot of doors. In my case, free online courses became my solution. As with our language learners, I struggled with asking for someone's assistance. I tried my luck in enrolling in a lot of online courses that focused on my weaknesses...
