There are four major skills to improve when learning a language - listening, reading, speaking, and writing. With these skills, we can categorize them as input skills and output skills. For most language learners, the input skills can be checked independently like listening and reading; however, writing and speaking, output skills, are abilities that require another person's help. You can validate your improvement through asking another person, maybe a teacher or a learning partner, to correct you whenever you make mistakes.
