Sample:
It is an accepted fact that a country’s economic improvement
relies on its amenities. Without this factor, movement of one product to
another, either local or imported, would be a great feat. It is then equally
vital that a nation’s government construct either railways or roads or both. This
essay will discuss the advantages and drawbacks of both.
Great developed countries like the US, the UK and Japan, to
mention a few, are known for their state-of-the-art railway system. These railways
provide fast and quality service that benefits both the citizens and their
economy. However, for nations that are not blessed with a high GDP and GNP
rate, construction of railways can be the least of their priorities. Railroads take
up large amount of land and uses a lot of money. Moreover, its construction
could last for a much longer time than improving roads. Also, countries that
are composed of islands like the Philippines, would find it rather complicated
to create a railroad that connects one island to another.
For the developing and third world countries, constructing
roads would seem to be more realistic. Almost all countries now have their own
highways and streets so the only point to consider is the enhancement of these
main streets. Although materials are cheaper than that of railways, one setback
to think about is space. Most roads in rural and urban areas are already
surrounded by tall skyscrapers and residential areas. Widening these streets in
such places can become close to impossible if residents and businessmen would
strongly oppose to the government’s plans.
In general therefore, it is proper to mention that railroads
and highways are crucial to a country’s improvement and further development. Then
again, governments must weigh the pros and cons of each so that they could come
up with a better plan on how they would spend money for their constituent’s and
economic welfare.

DeleteIt good! but It should have some more information in it.
ReplyDeleteIt is often considered by many that it is better to allocate more budget from government on rail lines than in road infrastructure. I completely agree with the idea because it would promote faster and safer communication and environmentally safe at the same time.
ReplyDeleteOne of the advantages of increasing rail communication is that it would decrease travel time across the country. As road transportations are the main reasons of congestion and traffic jam, people will find rail roads more convenient in terms of saving time and energy. For instance, the government of Bangladesh will be launching its first ever metro rail across Dhaka city which is designed to reduce road congestion and allow more people to travel to their workplace more conveniently within shorter time. Furthermore, accident rate is higher on road transportation while rail communication is less prone to accidents.
Railway transportation will have a positive impact on environment in reducing the carbon-dioxide emission. The emission of carbon-dioxide is increasing as people are using cars for daily movements which is leading to air pollution and health hazards. One example of this is Dhaka city which is among one of the cities with the highest air quality index (AQI) score which means higher level of air pollution. People of that city are suffering from This poor air quality is contributing to serious health issues, such as respiratory infections, heart disease, and lung infections, among the population of that citydue to the higher level of pollution. Therefore, spending more money on creating moredeveloping sustainable rail track will be environmentally friendly and save people from life threatening diseases.
To sum up, I reckon that investment in railway sector instead of road is more beneficial. The government should focus on installing transportation facility which is convenient and safe for people as well as less harmful for the environment in the long-run.
It was great 👍. Finally the metro rail is launched in Dhaka.
