Recently, the topic about giving rights to all living things like animals has been making headlines. More and more people condemn the maltreatment these creatures receive in factories and research facilities. As living creatures, many argue that animals, although incapable of communicating, experience pain and suffering. This view opens up a lot of questions on ethics and how animals must be treated. As a result, many suggest the use of technology as an alternative. There has been a lot of advancements in our technology that can help and even ban the exploitation of animals.

Although we can say that technology has come a long way, it does not guarantee that animal use can be completely avoided. For economic purposes, the use of machines do cost a lot. In fact, it can be cheaper to tend to animals than to buy state-of-the-art machinery and to maintain them. Also, it is important to consider that it is still more ethical to use animals than humans for research purposes.

In conclusion, humans must know how to coexist with other creatures. As the highest being in the animal kingdom, people have the responsibility to care for all living things. The only thing we must remember is to know our limits in using whatever resources we were given so that the other generations can also enjoy what we have now.
