Sample essay:

It has been believed by many that it is more ideal for individuals to be in holy matrimony before the age of 30. This custom, which is still apparent in some cultures, is thought to benefit both the people and their community. Although it can be true that positive effects can be noted, I strongly think that no age is ideal when it comes to marriage.

Traditionally speaking, many people from before agree that starting a family at an early age is fundamental for some reasons. For one, humans’ physical strength and power deteriorate as we get older. As such, it is more appropriate for women to bear children and for men to provide for their family’s needs while their bodies are still fit and able. As for the community, younger citizens can learn to be more responsible and hard-working.

On the other hand, this custom is gradually changing over time. More and more people opt to marry at a later age and is becoming the norm. Men and women choose to spend their 20’s by making their career stable first before starting their own family. It is well-known that raising a child is not an easy and cheap journey and due to this idea, it is now more “practical” to be wed once the couple is not only physically able but also financially and emotionally prepared.

In conclusion, a lot of factors should be considered before marriage. It is unfair to only think about the age of an individual as to when he or she should be wed. The best timing for a person to be married should depend on his or her willingness, perspective and readiness to step into this life-changing phase.
