In recent times, social media influencers have become modern heroes of many people. These internet icons have introduced many how-to trends that many youngsters can learn from such as cooking, styling, studying, and exercising. Perhaps the biggest rage in the world is anything related to fitness. However, these health-conscious trends have drawbacks that are usually ignored. This essay will concentrate on the writer’s complete agreement on why obsessing on being healthy also poses many dangers.

For many years, obesity is the number one problem related to physical health. Although this has not been completely eradicated, it is disheartening to see that the general public prioritizes looks over anything else. This mindset made conscious health living a norm for more and more people. Hence, the upsurge of many fitness trends online.  Even though it may seem that this is a positive effect on society, not many understand the implications related to extreme fitness activities.

It is unknown by many that dedicating to a lifestyle of health and fitness is damaging to an individual. Although it is impressive that some people do their best to keep themselves fit, limits must still be identified. Doing an activity in excess, like working out, can be compared to an addiction. In fact, some experts suggest that many gym patrons are more likely to suffer from mental and behavioral issues that are hard to overcome like anxiety towards physical appearance and eating disorders. Regrettably, because exercising and healthy eating are activities that are usually promoted on many internet platforms, it can be challenging to address these problems.

Needless to say, it is important to feel confident with one’s own skin; however, it is more essential to follow a well-balanced way of living. Moreover, we should not be dictated by internet manias on how we should live our lives.
